American footwear companies write a complaint letter to president Trump.

In a recent letter to president Trump, America’s leading footwear companies, brands and retailers have asked the president to remove footwear from the most recent Section 301 list published by the United States Trade Representative. The footwear industry states that the proposed additional tariff of 25 percent on footwear would be catastrophic for most Americans.

The Footwear Distributors & Retailers of America (FDRA) estimates the proposed actions will add 7 Billion Dollars in additional costs for US customers every year.

Among the footwear companies that signed the letter are a several listed companies such as Nike, Adidas and Under Armour. You can read the letter of the FDRA here.
